After a lot of prayer and reflection, I have decided to retire as the Director of Youth Ministry. Over the past twenty years, St. Peter Parish has become my home. I have lived many life milestones while ministering here as well as raising my children in the Catholic Faith. I can’t articulate my gratitude to our parish community enough. THANK YOU for trusting me with the youth of our parish community. From youth group to March for Life, from RCIC to World Youth Day, National Catholic Youth Conference, fun nights, Cardboard City, retreats, Senior Mass and Baccalaureate, fundraisers, special events, conferences and rallies—I’ve always felt a great responsibility to help our youth grow and walk in their faith. It’s something I couldn’t do without the support of the parish community, parish staff and pastors. To all who have supported me through this journey, thank you so much! St. Peter Parish has given me lifelong friends, so many wonderful memories and a parish community that has supported me through the ups and downs of life. While it is bittersweet to leave youth ministry after so many years, my heart is full and ready to take on new adventures with my family. I look forward to the future with excitement and hope, knowing it would not have been possible without my time here. My family will still be parishioners of St. Peter Parish and I will continue as a commissioned Lay Minister serving our parish but in a different way. Please pray for me and my family as we make this transition and know that you will continue to be in my prayers as well. With peace, love and gratitude, Katie
