Margaret A. Jordan of Ashley, formerly Oakley, age 94, passed away Thursday morning, May 17, 2018, at the Ashley Care Center with her family at her side. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at St. Peter Parish Catholic Church, 404 S. Wood Street, Chesaning. Rev. Fr. William Gruden will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband later at the St. Michael’s Cemetery, Oakley. Her family will be present at the church to greet relatives and friends from 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2 until time of the Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Margaret A. Clark was born in Oakley on June 14, 1923, a daughter of the late Edward and Daisy (Mickles) Clark. Margaret was united in marriage to William James Jordan in Oakley at St. Michael Catholic Church on June 7, 1947. They were married for over 44 years before he passed away on May 14, 1982.
Mrs. Jordan was an exceptional mother and grandmother. She was always there to help her family in their time of need. She had worked at the former Ben Franklin Store in Chesaning and was a beautician in Owosso and Saginaw. She had also served as the Oakley Village Treasurer for many years. Margaret enjoyed going to the casino.
Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, Pat Jordan (Janis Ostipow) of Oakley and Christopher (Diane) Jordan, Paula (Tom) Tithof, and Colleen (Greg) Krupp, all of Chesaning; eleven grandchildren, Rachel (Michael) Jungbelut, Ryan (MaryLynn) Jordan, Courtney Jordan, Tracy (Michael) Fall, Brooke (Shawn) Coffman, Sarah (Brandon) Losey, Shawn (Katie) Kwekel, Karie Schoenmeyer, Meghan (Steve) Korf, Jennifer (Craig) Weisenberger, and Brandon Sadilek; 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Hannah Bignal; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, William; a brother, Byron Clark; daughter-in-law, Deborah Jordan; and son-in-law, Victor Amman.
