Scott Weisenberger, age 47, passed peacefully surrounded by his family.
He was selfless and loving. Every single person who knew Scotty was deeply impacted by him and carries a piece of him in their heart. Being in Scotty’s presence was a feeling like no other. The quality of his character will continue to benefit the world as he has inspired each person he encountered and raised the bar for how we should treat those closest to us. He taught his family and the people around him how to enjoy the simple things in life. Scott loved playing a good game of cards, fishing, hunting, and farming. His love of these things was grand, but nothing compared with the love he had for his family, although, U of M sports is a very close second. Go Blue! Scott could often be found at any Chesning Indian game cheering on his nieces and nephews. One of Scott’s favorite things was to bet and gamble. He loved to win and was very good at it and hated to lose. You are considered a very lucky person if Scott ever paid any of his debts to you.
Throughout his brief life, Scott was a fixture in the Village of Chesaning. His quick wit combined with his attention to details made each encounter with him a lesson in charming banter. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy and compassion. His life will be remembered as full of love and laughter.
Scott is survived by his parents, Chuck (Linda) Weisenberger and Marsha (Marc) Palko; his siblings Nick (Becca) Weisnberger, Krystle (Dave) Niewiadomski, and Annie (Bryan) Bitterman; step sisters Nina (Mike) Fejes and Susan (Chris) Holvey; nieces and nephews Josie, Waylon and Ollie Weisenberger, Jack, Layne, and Kendall Niewiadomski, Brody and Briar Bitterman, Adie and Rylee Fejes, Alec (Melissa) and Ryan Holvey.
Additionally, the entire community of Chesaning will mourn the loss of Scott. He represented the best of who we all strive to be: A loud Cheerleader, a loving family member, a great friend.
