KETTLE, Nancy Mae – of Chesaning, died Friday, October 18, 2019 at her residence. She was 64 years of age.
Nancy was born May 2, 1955 in Owosso a daughter to Bernard and Georgina (McCann) Coonrod. She was a lifelong resident of Chesaning. Nancy was united in marriage to Dennis Kettle on May 1, 1976. Mrs. Kettle retired from Chesaning Union Schools as a Parapro and was also the Avon lady for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was active in many church functions. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #212 Ladies Auxiliary for over 30 years. She had been a leader for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for many years. Nancy enjoyed crafting, sewing, needlepoint, knitting and spending time with her family.
Surviving are: husband Dennis; children: Elizabeth (Kelly) Gaynor of Coopersville, Dennis Kettle, Jr. of Chesaning, April (Lawrence) Parsons of Owosso, Samantha Kettle of St. Charles; grandchildren: Stacy Kettle, Tyler Milburn, Seth Parsons, Zoie Parsons, Blair Miller and Bentlee Parsons; fur baby Khloe; parents, Bernard and Georgina Coonrod of Chesaning; siblings: Kathy (Kevin) Smith of Oakely, Gertie (Mike) Meier of Naubinway, Wanda (Larry) Fifield of Burt, Joan (Henry) Delbridge of Burt, Rose (Dale) Reiber of Chesaning, Bernie (Beth) Coonrod of Chesaning; many nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Cook; and her 1st fur baby, Dustie.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the American Legion Post #212, 15053 McKeighan Rd. in Chesaning. Visitation will be at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Monday from 5-7 p.m. and at the American Legion Hall on Tuesday from 12 noon until time of the service at 1 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at the funeral home on Monday at 7 p.m. Inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
