TITHOF, Mildred A. – of Oakley, died peacefully at her home on Friday, August 4, 2023. She is now in the loving arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was 94 years of age.
Mildred was born July 27, 1929, to the late Steve and Mary (Holik) Pacek and was a resident of Oakley most of her life. She married Eugene Tithof on June 21, 1947. They were married for 58 years before he passed on October 29, 2005. She was an avid sports fan, especially watching her children. She enjoyed time up north at the cabin with family and was a great cook. She was a hard-working wife and mother who raised 6 children. She was employed at Hehr for several years before retiring in 1985. Mildred was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and had been active with church functions.
Surviving are: children: Patricia (Tom) Walser of Chesaning, Tom (Evonne) Tithof of Chesaning, Doug Tithof of Oakley; daughters-in-law, Chris Tithof-Tullar of Saginaw, Brenda Tithof of Chesaning and Alice Tithof of AZ; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; step brother, Jerry “Buck” Bolf of WI; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Goodwin of FL and Mary Lou Pacek of East China, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: sons, Michael, Peter and Steven; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Kay Tithof; siblings: Pauline Zayac, Mary Marble, Helen Bolf, Bernadine (Lorencz) Kuchar, Eva Weiderhold, Matthew Pacek, Peter Pacek, Andrew Pacek; step siblings: Steve Bolf, Johnny Bolf, Eddie Bolf, Freddie Bolf, Rudy Bolf, Margaret Beauregard, Tony Bolf and Frankie Bolf.
Fr. Joseph Griffin will celebrate a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 404 S. Wood Street in Chesaning. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m until time of mass at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Oakley.
