Mary Lou Borton 

Age 83 of Chesaning passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Union Court Assisted Living. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Wednesday, August 18th from 2:00 to 8:00pm with a Rosary prayed at 7:00pm. 

Mary Lou was born on April 9, 1938 to Joe and Katherine (Flynn) Coughlin in Flint. She worked as a Custodian for Chesaning Union Schools for many years before retiring. During her life, she enjoyed playing bingo and cards, listening to music, dancing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. 

Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Theresa Wyles (Dan Ryan), Monica Borton, and Kelly (Jerry) Nugent; her grandchildren, Ashley (Anthony) Nalepa, Samantha Wyles, Taylor Wyles, and Haley Nugent; her great-granddaughter, Avery Jane Nalepa; and her siblings, Joan, Mike, Margie, Linda, Theresa, Judy, and Sandy; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

She is predeceased by her parents, Joe and Kate Coughlin; and her siblings, Rose Schneider, John Coughlin, and Pat Coughlin; her niece, Tina Schultz; and her nephew, Jeff Schneider. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
