Laurie Anne Tufts

Passed away Sunday evening, July 9, 2017, at St. Mary’s of Michigan, Saginaw at age 49.  Cremation has taken place.  

  

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Noon, Thursday, July 27, 2017, at St. Peter Parish Catholic Church, 404 S. Wood Street, Chesaning.  Her family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until time of the Mass.

 

Laurie was born in Owosso, MI on November 14, 1967, the daughter of Robert and Gayle (Hasselbring) Tufts.  Laurie had worked at the Chesaning Nursing Care Center and other nursing homes and also as a Home Health Caregiver.  She had previously worked at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island and the John Henry Company of Lansing.  Laurie had served her church as a former Eucharistic Minister.  She was a cornea donor.

 

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Gary Thomas Wolfe and William Joseph Daniel Standifer, both of Brant; her parents, Robert and Gayle Tufts; two brothers, Duane (Melissa) Tufts of Taylor and Daniel (Audra) Tufts of Lancaster, CA; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
