Walden, Larry G. – of Chesaning, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Chesaning Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 74 years of age.
Larry was born October 4, 1946 in Hannibal, MO to the late William and Gladys (Rouse) Walden. He resided in Texas, Oscoda, MI then Chesaning since 2012. He married Lucia Carol Slama on August 27, 1988 in Oscoda. Mr. Walden served in the US Air Force and continued working for the Air Force for 30 years. He and Carol also provided a tax preparation service to military personnel. He attended St. Peter Catholic Parish. Larry enjoyed working on his computer, reading the Bible, and listening to Opera music.
Surviving are: step children: Norm Wolfe of Oakley, Debralynn Stover of Chesaning, Mike Wolfe (fiancé Janice Andersen) of Chesaning, Patrick (Susan) Wolfe of Beaverton; several step grandchildren; siblings: Jack Walden of Hannibal, MO, Kenneth Walden of Edwardsville, IL, Dick (Virginia) Walden of Tingley, IA, Russell Walden of Little River, SC, Linda (Victor) Underhill of Hannibal, MO; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his 4 brothers, Michael, Dearald and William Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2021 at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Fr. William Gruden officiating. Burial to follow in Ridge Road Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals.
