Dave passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Union Court, St. Charles. Age 77 years. He was born October 24, 1941 in St. Charles to Stephen and Ruth Rusz. Dave married Penny Allen on November 26, 1960 and she survives him. He retired as a foreman from Saginaw Steering Gear, Plant 2. Dave was a member of Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Charles, Elks, VFW and Saints Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed playing piano, winters at Panama City Beach in Florida, golf, bowling and spending time with family and friends. Dave was a football master.

 

Surviving besides his wife, Penny are their children and spouses, Jennifer Rusz (Stuart) Lederer, Gerald (Mary) Rusz and Matthew (Liesa) Rusz; six grandchildren, Nicholas Rusz, Ava Lederer, Hayden Rusz, Rachel Rusz, Sarah Lederer and McKenna Rusz; brothers, John (Fumi) Russ, Lois Rusz, Joseph (Kathy) Rusz, Patrick (June) Rusz and Michael (MaryAnn) Rusz; in-laws, Candy (Jim) Hession, Bill (Sue) Allen and many loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, two brothers, Richard and Stephen Rusz, Jr. and a sister, Betty Meskimen.

 

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at St. Peter Parish, 404 S. Wood St, Chesaning. Fr. Bill Gruden will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the Kendall Funeral Home, 316 W. Belle Ave., St. Charles, on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity in Dave’s memory.
