KUCHAR, Arlene Marie, 63, of Chesaning MI, died peacefully Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City MI surrounded by her family.
Arlene was born on December 4, 1959 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw MI to Herman and Shirley (Gibson) Hawn. She always loved that she was the first product of her parents' love story and she was often delighted by the stories of their first few years together.
Arlene graduated from Chesaning High School in 1978 and was married to Randy Kuchar on July 23,1983 in Chesaning, Michigan. Arlene and Randy met while she was working at Total Gas Station in Chesaning MI where an adorable crush later blossomed into a beautiful marriage. She later cared for those in need at Pleasant View Medical Care Facility in Corunna MI before her dream of becoming a mother came true in 1984. Arlene delighted in the joys of motherhood over the next six years, welcoming her second child in 1990. Arlene’s final career was at the Bonnymill Inn in Chesaning MI where she worked as a dedicated receptionist for 17 years. Arlene’s greatest joy in life was becoming a mother and raising her family. She never wanted to do anything without her children. Arlene was an extremely kind woman who always gave everything she had to those she loved before herself. She always went above & beyond what was required or necessary when contributing her time and efforts. Arlene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, writing, taking pictures, shopping, enjoying popcorn at the movies, watching the Hallmark Channel and scary movies, decorating her yard with sparkly flower spinners, reading children's books to little ones, exploring history, and being silly.
Arlene is survived by: her husband Randy Kuchar; daughter Holly Kuchar (Beau Goward) of Chesaning MI; son Travis Kuchar of Dearborn Heights MI; her mother Shirley Hawn; her siblings Jeff Hawn of Vanderbilt MI, Lori (Steve) Birchmeier of Miamisburg OH, Janice Hawn of Chesaning MI, Steven (Mara) Hawn of Chagrin Falls Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Herman “Butch” Hawn.
