This week we celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. Also known as the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, this feast honors Jesus Christ, Really, Truly and Substantially Present under the appearances of bread and wine. This Presence happens through the change which the Church calls transubstantiation (“change of substance”), when at the Consecration of the Mass, the priest says the words which Christ Himself pronounced over bread and wine, “This is My Body,” “This is the chalice of My Blood,” “Do this in remembrance of Me.” Click the link for a Gospel reflection for this week.
The CAER Center will be collecting toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner for the month of June. Monetary donations are always welcome as well. Please place donated items in the CAER Center basket in the gathering area of the church.
This week we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. The Most Holy Trinity is the triune God--the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Click the link for a Gospel reflection and prayer for this week.
