Thomas J. Kieffer

Formerly of Chesaning

 

Passed away early Sunday morning, October 9, 2016, at the St. Francis Home of Saginaw.  He was 68 years old.  Cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016, at St. Peter Parish Catholic Church, 404 S. Wood Street, Chesaning.  Fr. William Gruden will officiate.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery of Chesaning.  Tom's family will be present at the church to receive friends from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of the Mass.

 

Tom was born in Owosso on November 24, 1947.  He was the son of Gerald and Rose (Sabo) Kieffer.  Tom graduated from Chesaning High School in the Class of 1966.  He had worked at Farmer Peet’s in Chesaning.  Throughout his life, Tom enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, and watching sports.

 

Tom is survived by his children, Kevin (Brenda) Kieffer,  Kristine (Bill) Kieffer; grandchildren, Kayla Kieffer, Shane (Gelina) Kieffer, and Zachary Kieffer; a great-grandson, Rayland Kieffer; his brothers, Jerry and Randy; and his sisters, Karin and Mary.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Rose Kieffer, and a brother-in-law, Bob Andrews.
