DODAK, Susan F. – of Chesaning, died Monday, December 14, 2020 at Pioneer Specialty Hospital in Pontiac. She was 77 years of age.
Susan was born March 3, 1943 in Saginaw County to the late Edward and Blanche (Beardsley) Perrot. She graduated from St. Andrew High School Class of 1961 and then attended Delta College. Mrs. Dodak was employed as an advertising sales rep and journalist for the Saginaw Valley News & Tri-County Citizen for over 20 years. She retired as Chesaning Township Treasurer after 12 years of service. Susan volunteered as Treasurer for the Saginaw County Fair Board. She was an active member of the Chesaning community, the Saginaw County Fair and St. Peter Catholic Church. She gave of her time for many projects. She was a woman who loved to laugh, had a passion for knitting, feeding birds, growing flowers, driving her Mustang convertible, and tending to her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed meeting with her girlfriends from the Class of 1961(St. Andrew School) for lunches and travel.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Tom; children: Julie (James) Bila of Montrose, Jill Dodak of Shorewood, WI, James Dodak of Chesaning, Ed (Tracey) Dodak of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Miranda Dodak, Hanna Rosenbaum, Dakota Dodak, and Matt Ferry of Chesaning; great-grandchildren, Ava and James Ferry; sister, Judith Anne (Pete) Pohlman of Burlington, WI; much loved nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends; special extended family, Ron and Diane Chludil and family. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Michael and Kathy Perrot.
