Age 75 of Chesaning passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Ashley Care Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Bill Gruden officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 6 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel; a Knights of Columbus Rosary will be prayed at 8:00pm.
Ruthan was born on October 11, 1940 to Floyd and Lena (Maule) Dinninger in Saginaw. She married Kenneth Gross on June 3, 1961; he predeceased her in June of 1962. She then married Ronald Lucius on April 23, 1966; he predeceased her in 2005 after 39 years of marriage. Ruthan spent her life as a homemaker raising her 5 children.
During her life, Ruthan co-owned The Old Bookmark in Chesaning. She enjoyed camping, she was an avid reader, and she loved bowling and traveling.
Ruthan is survived by her children, Robert Gross, Gerald Gross, Ronna (Jeff) Ebenhoeh, Stuart (Debra) Lucius, and Deborah (Terry) Hoenshell; her 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings; as well as many nieces, nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in-law.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth; her second husband, Ronald; her parents, Floyd and Lena; her mother- and father-in-law; and 13 of her siblings.
