MEYER, Patricia Ann (Gasser)– passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at Union Court Assisted Living in Chesaning. She was 87 years of age.
 
Patricia was born in Chesaning on June 5, 1935, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Nietling) and John Gasser. She graduated from Our Lady High School in 1953 where she was an excellent student. She married her sweetheart, Robert Meyer, on November 27, 1953. They were married 63 years before he passed away on October 31, 2017. Patricia worked at a variety of jobs, including the US Postal Service, but her most important job was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of St. Peter Parish and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #212. She enjoyed going to dances and playing cards with their special friends, going to the casino, and traveling. Most of all, she loved being with her family.
 
Surviving are: children: Kathy (Dan) Cech, Cheryl (Paul) Bates, Dave (Becky) Meyer, Jeff (Nora) Meyer, and Michelle (Dan) Coberley; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way;  and many special nieces, nephews, close neighborhood friends and her childhood friend, Margaret Ann. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Cech; siblings: Harold, Urban, Clarence, and Wilfred Gasser, and Alfreda Hemgesberg.
 
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at St. Peter Parish Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Friday at the Misiuk Funeral Home from 4-8:00 p.m. where a parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Pat’s family will be at the church to greet friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Peter Parish Catholic Church. 
 
The family would like to thank the wonderful people who work at Chesaning Union Court for their loving and compassionate care of Pat this past year. We would also like to thank Careline Physician Services and Careline Hospice Services for Pats excellent care, especially Stephanie Fowler.
