Funeral Arrangements for Mary Stover

Of Chesaning

Passed away Monday morning, March 27, 2017, at her home. She was 65 years old. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at St. Peter Parish Catholic Church, 404 S. Wood Street, Chesaning. Fr. William Gruden will officiate. Burial will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery of Chesaning. Visitation for Mary Sue will be from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Her family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of the Mass.

Mary Sue was born in Saginaw, Michigan on December 30, 1951. She was the daughter of Ed and Kathleen (Maike) Bonjour. Mary Sue married Gerard “Jerry” Stover at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Chesaning in 1976. Mrs. Stover graduated from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, earning a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree. She had worked as a Teacher and had taught at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, and then at the Junior High level for the Chesaning Union Schools. Mary Sue later retired from the Chesaning Union Schools.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Jerry; their three children, Molly Stover and Josh Stover, both of Mt. Pleasant and Grace (Andrew) Leis of Midland; a grandson, Avery Leis; two sisters, Linda (Dr. Robert) McNier and Tammi Bonjour (Dennis Trepkowski), all of Saginaw Twp; and other loving family members and friends. Those who have passed before her include her parents.
