Age 85 of Chesaning passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Monday, September 3 from 2:00 to 8:00pm with a Rosary prayed at 7:00pm.

Julaine was born on March 11, 1933 to Gordon and Catherine (Bovine) Ketchum in Bay City. She married Robert Amman on August 4, 1956 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help; they celebrated 41 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 1997.

Julaine spent her life as a loving homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and polka dancing, and she was a fan of the Detroit Tigers. Most of all, she loved being with her family and friends.

Julaine is survived by her children, Mike (Karen) Amman, Sue (Bob) Thurston, Frank Amman (Lisa Keyes), Tony (Cathy) Amman, and Marilynn (Lindsay) Powell; her 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; her special friend, Ed Klapko; her brother- and sisters-in-law, Don and Janet Amman, and Carlene Ketchum; her dog, Macie; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Bob Amman; her brother, Stan Ketchum; her parents, Gordon and Catherine Ketchum; and her parents-in-law, Leo and Letah Amman.
