Janet Barbara (Stasa) Martin 

Age 75 of Chesaning went with the Lord on October 3, 2021 at Union Court Assisted Living in St. Charles. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Visitation will take place that morning from 9:00am until the service. Interment will be held at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery. 

Janet was born on August 26, 1946 to Joseph and Rose (Seconsky) Stasa in Owosso. She had been a lifelong area resident, graduating from Chesaning Union High School in 1964. She then attended Owosso Beauty Academy in Owosso. On February 17, 1968, she was united in marriage to Richard L. Martin who survives; they celebrated 53 years of marriage. 

Janet was a hairstylist and seamstress. She worked at Sarah's Attic in Chesaning for many years. She was a lifetime member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Chesaning. Janet enjoyed quilting, traveling to new places, going to the casino, and spending time with her family. 

Surviving are her children, Darcel Brown of Surfside Beach, SC, Bradley (Alana) Martin of Perry, MI; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph F. Stasa and Richard (Kim) Stasa, both of Henderson, MI; and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends.
