May 15, 2017Gregory James SutliffOf ChesaningPassed away suddenly Wednesday evening, May 10, 2017, at his home at age 58. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Fr. William Gruden will officiate. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Gregory was born in Saginaw, Michigan on May 18, 1958, the son of Marion and Betty (Hall) Sutliff. Gregory married Brenda Memmer in Maple Grove on June 18, 1977. He received his Associate’s Degree from Lansing Community College.Gregory was a GM retiree and had worked in production at the Bay City Powertrain and Flint Truck and Bus Assembly. He was a member of UAW Local 598. He loved hunting, fishing, painting, raising chickens, and working on machinery and in his vegetable garden.Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Brenda; their children, Gregory (Holly) Sutliff, Stephanie (Robert) Dorey, and Joe (Jenny) Sutliff, all of Chesaning; his precious eleven grandchildren, Alexis, Hannah, Elizabeth, Olivia, Cian, and Teagan Sutliff and Ashley, Summer, Destiny, Antonio, and Annie Dorey; his parents, Marion and Betty Sutliff; his sister, Angela (Jeff) Weslock of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews; his special friends, Wayne Sutliff and Ronald Memmer; his dog, Toby; and other loving family and friends.Memorial contributions are suggested for the wishes of the family.Please sign the online guestbook or share your condolences at misiukfuneralhome.com.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Misiuk Funeral Home, 202 South Front Street, Chesaning.
