Elda Edith Straty age 87,

passed away on Friday, April

10, 2015 at her home in Houghton

Lake in Prudenville Mi. surrounded

by her family after a short and

courageous battle with cancer.

Formerly of Bridgeport and Chesaning.

Her Family was her world and she was

a Mother to many.

She was preceded in deathby her

parents Roland and Anna Hartsell,

her first husband Henry Joeseph Straty,

second husband Gerald Eugene Richards

and a Loving daughter Geraldine (Denny)

Murhead. Also Brothers Lealand (Marie)

Hartsell, Roland Hartsell Jr., Orville (Jenette)

Hartsell and William (Thelma) Hartsell.

Also Sisters Auleta (Don) Mc Comb,

Wilma (Charley Ashmore.

Elda is survived by her Sons, Daniel

(Mary) Straty and Michael (Teresa)

Straty. Daughters Theresa (Dave)

Sleamon, Suzanna (Hank) Schempp,

Patty Stover, friend Fred Beno,

Cathy (Dave) Moore and Elizabeth

(John) Leggett. One Sister Anna Mae

(Joe) Owens and a brother Leonard

Hartsell. A Grandmother of 18 Grand-

children, 21 1/2 Great Grandchildren

and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

Special Nephew Phillip Hartsell and

long time friend Millie Tithof and the

Hedrich stepchildren.

Her Favorite time was spent as a Volunteer

at Grayling Mercey , as a Elks Lodge #1982

volunteer and the Houghton Lake Yacht

Club.She also loved the Does Club at the

Elks Club. Her Hobbies included making Quilts

for all her family, Reading, Gardening and

Cross Stitch.

Visiting will be Monday 13 april 2015

Family 1:00, Public at 2:00 to 8:00 pm. A rememberance prayer

service will take place at 6:30 pm at the

funeral home on Monday evening. On Tuesday

a viewing will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church

with Mass at 11:00 am at St. Peter Parish

in Chesaning, Mich. with burial

at Resurrection Cemetery in Chesaning.

A funeral luncheon will follow.
