AMMAN, Corale Marie – of Chesaning, age 78, died Friday, March 4, 2022, at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso.
Corale was born July 9, 1943, in Brady Township to Burnice and Evelyn (Johnston) Walter and was a lifelong resident of the Chesaning area. She was united in marriage to Fred Amman on November 9, 1963, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Chesaning. Mrs. Amman retired from Chesaning Union Schools about 2018 after many years of working in various positions. She was a member of St. Peter Parish Catholic Church, Hudson Car Club and Cars of the Past Car Club. Corale enjoyed baking, especially cookies for the grandkids, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are: husband, Fred; children: Kristine (William) Dawson of Owosso, Brenda Lighthill of Chesaning, Brian (Carol) Amman of Chesaning, Phillip (Cori) Amman of Chesaning; grandchildren: Jamie (Ted) Carter, Ryan (Julie) Dawson, Ashley (Greg) Kopicko, Thomas Lighthill, Zachary Amman (Tiffany Houghton), Kayla (Grant) Riley, Jason (Katie) Knieper, Matt Knieper, Kellan Aldrich, Kennedy Amman (Haley Baase), Caleigh Amman (Brandon Thompson); 10 great grandchildren; mother, Evelyn Walter of Oakley; sister, Della (James) Smith of Oakley; sisters-in-law: Jean (Ray) Schnell of Chesaning, Margaret (Fred) Dery of Owosso, Doris Amman of Chesaning, Elaine Amman of Chesaning, Kay Amman of Lennon; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: father, Burnice Walter; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Jim Amman, Ken Amman, Joe Amman and Dorothy Tkaczyk.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at St. Peter Parish Catholic Church in Chesaning. Fr. William Gruden officiating. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 2-8 p.m. where a parish rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. led by Bernard Coonrad. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of mass at 11 a.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the family to be designated among several charities.
