Barbara Mae Lanczynski 

Age 82 of Oakley passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Sparrow Hospital. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Tuesday, July 5th from 2:00 to 8:00pm. 

Barbara was born on February 22, 1940 to Basil and Gertrude (Truman) Martin in St. Johns. She graduated from St. Johns High School. Barbara married Paul Lanczynski on September 20, 1991; they celebrated 30 years of marriage together. 

During her life, Barbara worked as a secretary for Michigan Sintered Metals. Barbara was a joyful, upbeat person who always had a smile. She loved taking drives and walking. She always enjoyed visiting with her mother-in-law, Alice Lanczynski, at her home, as well as visiting residents at the nursing home. Barb loved spending time with her family and grandchildren; she was very fond of Carolyn and James whom she had babysat for 3 years. She was especially fond of her card ministries. 

Barb is survived by her husband, Paul; her children, Dawn Rolfe, Fawn Bussa, Christine (Toc) Ockerman, and George "Butch" Zimmerman (Terry Gray); her step-children, Stanley (Angela) Lanczynski and Carrie (James) MacDonald; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sandie Nellis; mother-in-law, Alice Lanczynski; and her in-laws, Alan (Rosetta) Lanczynski, Raymond (Ann) Lanczynski, Marcia (Paul) Groomes, Beverly (Randy) Auiler, Joan Gross, and Irene (Tom) Foulds. 

She is predeceased by her parents, Basil and Gertrude Martin; father-in-law, Stanley Lanczynski; sister, Janice; and sister-in-law, Dianne.
